Email Account Providers

Are you looking for an email account provider?  If so, there are many different options out there for you, and our goal today is to provide you with some information about different email account providers so that you will be able to make an informed decision about the best email account provider for you.

First we have Gmail.  This is a completely free email service.  This email provider is provided by Google.  It will provide you with almost unlimited storage that is completely free.  Here you will be able to have all of your messages and will continue to allow your storage to grow.  You have free POP or IMAP access.  It has sorting for you, starring, and searching that will assist you with the organization and finding of your emails and your chat conversations.  The interface of this email provider is rich and also rapid, and you will also be able to write your mail and read your mail while you are offline.  There are also some negatives that you may want to consider too, such as that it does not support signed and encrypted email natively, and searching for mail in Gmail is not as comfortable or as smart as being able to search the web using Google.

The second email account provider is GMX Mail.  This email service is also completely free.  This email service has a very successful filtering system for viruses and spam.  It has a very rich web interface and IMAP and POP access in the desktop programs.  The online storage and messages are up to 50 MB so that you can utilize large attachments and large amounts of mail.  This mail service can also allow you to get mail from different accounts.  One of the negatives of this email service is that it does not support mail that is encrypted and it cannot display images that are remote for the senders.  You also cannot label the mail, find messages that are related quickly or sort mail based on actions in the past. 

Yahoo Mail is another free email service.  It allows you to have unlimited storage, instant messaging, and even SMS texting too.  It has keyboard shortcuts that include an interface that is similar to a desktop.  It is a very easy email program to use.  Yet it is not perfect.  The spam filter of this email provider could be a bit more effective.  You will not have smart folders with this email provider and you will not be able to label messages freely.  It also does not provide IMAP access for the desktop email programs. 

Bigstring.com is another email account provider that you may wish to consider.  It is completely free and is a 2GB service.  You can password protect with this program.  It allows for certified email functions.  You will be able to send your emails out of any address using this service.  However, the POP access is only utilized as a premium feature.   You will not be able to label messages or to sort them into smart folders.  It also does not have keyboard shortcuts. 

Gawab.com is another option for an email account provider.  This email account provider is speedy and is considered to be very stable.  It allows you to have 10 GB of online space.  It also has IMAP and POP access.  With this email provider, you will be able to send mail from different accounts and you will be able to collect their mail also.  You will be able to search for your mail quickly, label your mail, and even save your search criteria as the handy smart folders.  Are there some negatives also?  The spam filter for Gawab could be a bit more effective.  Additionally, it does not have IMAP access.  This program also does not have the full message search.

AIM Mail is the email service from AOL that is totally free.  It has an outstanding program for protection from spam as well as good features of security.  It also has an interface that is rich.  AIM Mail is easy for you to utilize and will integrate the calendar with chatting and email together.  The storage space is unlimited, and it also includes IMAP and POP.  There are also a few negatives with AIM Mail of course.  One is that it does not have any labels or folders for organizing your messages and will not thread them.  When you send a message in which you use the web interface, you add a tag line.  Finally, the support for AIM Mail may not be easy for you to contact.

MySpace Mail will add your email address to the social network you have so that you will be able to exchange your messages with everyone, and not only your MySpace members.  The storage is unlimited, so you will be able to hold onto all of the mail that you want, but this service will not assist you with organization of your messages or with the organization of your address book.  You have solid spam and virus filters with this program, and you will also be able to restrict the email exchanges to only your contacts.  This program provides you with storage that is unlimited and will make it simple for you to share your images using email.  Unfortunately, you will not be able to use this email provider to access email accounts that are external.  You also cannot access your MySpace mail account using IMAP or POP either.
